Patterns of fibre demand have become very complex this year with many different influences emerging. Key issues that will be addressed at the conference include:
- International textile trade post-quotas is still dependent on final consumer demand and there are signs of disappointing retail figures in the major western markets.
- A slower export performance in volume and pricing is kicking back into China?s fibres industry which geared up for a massive increase in volumes in 2005.
- Overcapacity remains a big issue in the polyester industry, keeping the markets structurally weak.
- Disappointing exports, low margins and over-capacity have all taken the edge off fibre demand and are not being absorbed short-term by strong growth.
- Fibres demand is subject to cyclic influence with the global MMF industry still destocking while cotton starts to rebuild.
Do not miss out on this unique opportunity to network with leading global players in the industry.
