Since last February?s PCI conference in Houston there has been an unprecedented series of supply and price dislocations occurring both in the Americas and further afield in Asia. The impact of China?s development in the polyester industry continues to be keenly felt whilst the devastating hurricanes in September brutally highlighted some of the glaring deficiencies that exist in the North American polyester business from a commercial and logistical standpoint.
PCI will be holding its 8th Annual North American Polyester Conference in Houston, Texas on 16th February, 2006. The focus of this dynamic and topical conference will be to assess how the recovering North American market can best face up to the challenges and opportunities that will hit the market in 2006 and beyond. PCI will put this analysis into a wider global framework as our team of experienced industry consultants help clients understand the dynamics and consequences of the overdevelopment of Chinese polyester, raw material dislocations and how companies are redefining how they operate in an increasingly challenging environment.
