    Chairman and Owner, PCI Xylenes & Polyesters Ltd Based in Guildford, UK

    Philip specialises in the global polyester chain from refinery to polyesters. Before co-founding The PCI Consulting Group in 1988, he worked extensively in petrochemical market research and analysis, including aromatics, olefins, plastics and logistics. Since forming the company he has worked with clients in all aspects of the business and in all regions and has led the development of the PCI Xylenes & Polyesters' consulting services through the industry's many phases and rapid evolution.

    Doug Rightler

    EO, MEG, EOD and related industries Based in Philadelphia, PA, USA

    Doug heads PCI's global EO, glycols and related markets, with specific responsibility the Americas and the Far East. His former responsibilities of 20 years include Marketing Director for one of North America's largest EO/MEG/EOD producers with worldwide marketing responsibilities, before joining PCI in 1992.

    Steve heads PCI's global paraxylene and derivatives business and also the refinery-petrochemical interface. He joined PCI in 1996 with over 18 years worldwide commercial experience in paraxylene product management with one of the world’s leading players in the paraxylene and PTA fields.

    Phil is primarily focused on the western hemisphere PTA and polyester business. His engineering and project management experience draws him into many special projects in commercial and technical areas, in particular on PTA technology selection. He joined PCI in 2002 with over 20 years experience gained with one of the World's major producers of paraxylene, PTA and polyester.

    Paul focusses on the ethylene to glycol and related businesses in Europe, Middle East and Asia. Before joining PCI in 2000, Paul had 16 years of experience in one of the world’s largest petrochemical companies, including European Business Manager for ethylene and then the ethylene oxide derivatives.

    Gordon is primarily focused on paraxylene and the interface back into refining. He has significant experience in refining/petrochemicals optimisation, and in paraxylene production economics, technology evaluation and project/manufacturing management. Gordon joined PCI in 2010 following 20 years with one of the world’s major oil companies and leading producer of paraxylene and PTA.

    Michael is involved in analysis of all aspects of the North American polyester chain. His understanding of global economic fundamentals brings new modelling techniques in support of PCI’s forecasts. With a PhD in Economics Michael also has 27 years of industry experience; before joining PCI in 2009 he was the Director of Strategic Planning for a major North American polyester company.

    Salmon, as a fluent Chinese speaker, offers an extensive and detailed knowledge of China and its polyester and raw materials industry. He focuses on analysis of the commercial developments in all Asian markets. He joined PCI in 2009 with 10 years of editorial experience in market reporting on all petrochemicals and specifically in polyester raw materials.
